Today as I was riding on the Thompson Creek trail I had a hankering for some coffee. Fortunately this beautiful trail is just two miles from Downtown Claremont.
The City of Claremont is well known as a college town. But secondly it truly is a biking town! Bikes are everywhere!!! As I came into town I stopped at one of my favorite areas. It's this very cool courtyard off of Indian Hill Blvd and First Street that is very bike friendly! It has a Coffee Bean, plus many other eating places and a Movie Theater. Also right across the street is a Starbucks, so my hankering for some good coffee was more than satisfied.
Last week myself and some of my riding friends had coffee and yogurt here after a ride and sat outdoors and talked for quite a while. It was a nice end to a strenous climb up Claremont Wilderness Trail.
There is also an Eclectic restaurant right next to the theater called The Back Abbey. Quite a few of my friends frequent this place.
Another place the locals regularly frequent is Heroes and Legends.
And Eureka Burger is a favorite of the locals and out of towners!
This town is also adjacent to aother Bike trail called the Pacific Electric Trail. The Trail Head is about one mile from Indian Hill Blvd.
Another cool feature of this town is that the Metrolink Station has a Bike Station built-in!
The Bike Station has 78 bike racks which allow bicyclists the option to bike and ride to work via the Metrolink!
Right across the street from the station is a full service, quality Bike shop right in town called Jax.
Here is a new bike owner driving off from Jax's Bikes with her new Trek XCaliber 9! What a great moment!
